  As a urgent care clinic we can also treat minor strains, sprains, and contusions.    Also, we perform drug screenings and physicals for School, Work, and DOT. Other Medical procedures performed at Doctors Rx Us include Minor Surgical Procedures such as Lacerations, Wart & Mole Removal, Ingrown Toenail Removal, Skin tags, and Lesions.  In relation to the management of medication, Doctors Rx Us works with patients who suffer from Fibromyalgia, Cardiology problems, Diabetes management and testing, Anxiety and Depression diagnosis and management, as well as Blood Pressure monitoring and medication if necessary.

Pain Management* and Other Ailments

     As a pain management facility, Doctors Rx Us, focuses on the treatment of patients who suffer from chronic pain due to debilitating accidents or injuries in which their are no other remedies but through the management of the patient's pain.  The pain problems that are treated at our medical clinic are due to: Accident/Work Injury, Back & Neck Pain, Chronic Pain Management, Disease-related chronic pain, Muscle pain, Post-surgical chronic pain, and chronic pain due to trauma.  Our qualified physicians will choose the proper pain management schedule to place you on after analyzing your injuries and diagnosis. 

     Also, our licensed massage therapist is uniquely qualified to help with the rehabilitation process during your recovery after an auto accident or any type of major trauma.  Elaine Blake is experienced in personal injury cases and has been with Doctors Rx us since 2002 and her work as a massage therapist will do wonders to help in aiding your recovery.  The three main modalities in massage therapy are Neuromuscular therapy, Myofascial Release, and Craniosacral therapy. NMT helps stop the pain cycle by increasing blood flow, clearing metabolic wastes and lengthening the muscles. Myofascial release consists of gentle sustained pressure into the fasial restrictions and is very effective in increasing range of motion. Craniosacral therapy is a gentle method to detect and correct imbalances in the craniosacral system and is useful in alleviating headache  and neck and back pain. She also uses Kinesio tape to help reduce lymph edema.  Ultimately, the fact that Doctors Rx Us employs a licensed massage therapist with a wealth of experience in dealing with auto accident patients is a major asset to our urgent care clinic. 

*Note: The goal of pain management is to improve function, enabling individuals to work, attend school or participate in day-to-day activities.  Patients and their physicians have a number of options for the treatment of pain, some more effective than others.  In many cases simple relaxation techniques and the use of bio-feedback can provide relief.  Some pain problems may require analgesic drugs or COX-2 inhibitor drugs or non-narcotic or non-opiod analgesics may also be used to provide relief.  If any of the above treatments have not worked then our physicians will employ more serious pain management procedures such as nerve blocks and opiod prescriptions for patients with chronic and debilitating pain which prevents the patient from functioning normally.  In this case, the patient should have a history from which our physicians can draw from and from which a pain management system can be developed to help the patient function in their everyday activities.  Whatever the treatment regime prescribed, it is important to remember, pain is treatable!

Chemical Dependence Procedures
